Linda Markowitz was honored by the Pace Women’s Justice Center (“PWJC”) at Tappan Hill in Tarrytown, New York, on October 18, 2012 for her work as a volunteer and “Making a Difference”. She spoke about her first domestic violence representation and about how the court system can still be used as a weapon against a domestic violence victim. Linda has served on the executive board of the PWJC, known as “Gail’s House” since its inception and was instrumental in developing the moderate means panel. Funds raised are used to help the center in its many programs for the community. You can obtain more information on the organization’s website law.pace.edu/wjc.
